Embroidery & Printing Workshop

Our Embroidery and Printing workshop is located in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.

CT SPORTS purchased (in March 2010) several brand new state of the art Tajima multi-head and single head industrial embroidery machines. This investment in equipment gives us the capability to cope effectively with both large and small production runs. Service, quality, value for money and speed of turnaround are the foundations of our business. As the personalisation of garments is carried out in-house we have control over the production process from start to finish.

We use several other printing processes in addition to embroidery, ideal for example to apply numbers and sponsors logos on team kits.

Embroidery Process

Garment embroidery allows teams and organisations to create their own identity while at the same time creating an appearance of quality and style. Our state of the art embroidery workshop will provide a finish you will be proud of.

Embroidery is particularly suited to polo shirts, sweats, fleece jackets and where intricate multi colour designs are required. Embroidery will normally outlast any garment onto which it is applied.

Embroidery Set Up

For the majority of embroidered logos the design needs to be digitised into an embroidery format that a commercial embroidery machine can read.

It is true that bad artwork will produce a bad design. The better the artwork that a customer supplies the less time needs to be spent tidying it up before the design process begins.

Poor artwork (or even no artwork!) can be redrawn to ease the design production workflow, but at a cost to the customer.

There is a £25 (excluding VAT) charge for the origination of artwork if supplied in VECTOR format. Examples include ILLUSTRATOR, EPS, or original COREL DRAW files. This will allow us to convert it into the format we require with the minimum amount of fuss meaning we can complete your order quicker.

If you cannot supply your artwork in any of the above formats then we should be able to work with most image formats. In the future repeat orders for the same design do not generally incur any setup charge.

Heat Applied Vinyl & Flock

We use professional heat applied printing as the preferred method for a number of applications

  • Team numbers and names on playing shirts
  • Sponsors logos on team kits
  • Work wear – corporate shirts – can be more cost effective than embroidery.

Full Colour Transfers

Transfer printing which is useful for smaller runs and logos with more intricate multicolour designs. Transfers can also be used for very large production runs with the purchase of a ‘stock’ of transfers.

Sublimation Printing

Ideal for designs on light coloured garments, very cost effective for short runs – with no setup costs. Full colour print that is absorbed into the fibres of the garment to give a very detailed sharp result. We will select the most efficient option for your particular job depending on the design, fabric and quantities involved.
